LA LA land | Leo & Wendy Engagement - Part One | Connecticut Photographer

i'm back in snowy cold CT :(  my boyfriend and i enjoyed several days of Los Angeles sun, warmth, beach, close celebrity encounters...oh and eating, eating, eating, more eating, and more eating.  we visited with family and celebrated Chinese New Year.  sheen nian qu-y-le!  (that's happy new year in chinese :) )  my family, like many chinese, like to eat...A LOT.  if you're not eating 3 times your body weight, they'll ask you if there is something wrong, why are you not eating more?, do you not like the food?  on our last day there, my boyfriend and i skipped breakfast and lunch.  then around 6pm, we felt a weird sensation in our bellies that we hadn't felt in days...*hunger!* :P

other than eating, we managed to do some engagement photos in Old Town Pasadena (so cute and so much character!) and Venice Beach with my bro and his fiancee who were visiting from rainy Portland, Oregon.  they were hilarious to shoot!

anyway, here are some of my fav photos from Venice Beach, Santa Monica Pier, Farmers Market, Malibu, and Old Town Pasadena...and a sneak peek at a few engagement photos of Leo & Wendy!  more to come soon!! :)

Christine & Kip Wedding | Publick House | Sturbridge, MA | CT Wedding Photographer

I nearly got frostbite but i had the BEST time shooting Christine and Kip's wedding!!!  they were soooooooo incredibly FUN!!!  Christine's mom even made jello shots!  HA!!  their wedding was at the amazing, historic Publick House in Sturbridge, MA on January 30, 2010.

lessons learned...1) always have a pair of UGGs in the car when shooting a New England winter wedding...cute red patent ballerina flats are not ideal for trekking thru a field of snow in 10 degree weather!...2) wool gloves make nice socks! ;)

thanks so much for sharing your special day with me!!  and thank you to Alicia and Brian of No Eye Has Seen Photography (http://www.noeyehasseen.com/) for the opportunity to 2nd shoot!  i had a FUN FUN time!  here are some of my favorite shots...
