my boyfriend and i had a great time in New York City today!  we had planned on going ice skating in Bryant Park but did not plan on the loooooong line down the block!  we walked thru the crowds in Rockefeller Center and Times Square, visited the ginormous B&H store, did a lot of walking and finally took the train home.  we are pooped...

ho ho ho... meowy christmas :)

hope everyone had a very meowy christmas! :)  i'm LOVING my new 85mm f1.8 lens!!  amazing portrait lens!!  i'm still getting used to having to be at least 3 ft away from the subject.  the "kids" had fun opening gifts and playing with the tissue papers and ribbons.  here are some pics from christmas morning and dinner at casa d'Ions.  thanks Shae and M&D for having us over!!

PUG at Lighthouse Point

last week i met a very talented and fun group of photographers at the PUG (Pictage User Group) holiday party at Chamard Vineyards.  the next morning a bunch of us met at Lighthouse Point (at 9am with what felt like 30mph winds and -10 degree weather!!) to do an engagement session shoot with the very talented photographers Erin & Jeff Youngren from San Diego (yup, they traveled from sunny warm CA to bitter cold CT for PUG!).  checkout some of my fav shots from the shoot... can't wait for the next PUG event!

our lovely Vermont balsam fir smells soooooo good and is so purrty :)  the kitties are enjoying naps among the gifts, drinking the tree water, attacking the tinsel, and batting at the shimmery balls.  yay, 2 more days until Christmas!!

Trinity Chapel

a few weekends ago, i had a very unique opportunity to shoot some photos of the chapel at Trinity College.  i had no idea there is a chapel there, and it's BEAUTIFUL!!  no flash photography is allowed inside the chapel, so all the photos are without flash and without a tripod.
